We started the publication of our archival records with the collection of David Urquhart, an Englishman who played a decisive role in the Western Caucasus scene of the Russo-Caucasian Wars of the 19th century. In this collection, you will find the manuscripts of David Urquhart's correspondence with the leading profiles and statesmen of the British Empire about the policies of Britain related to the Caucasus and Eastern question between the years 1834-1837, as well as the main Caucasian-themed books and periodicals published by him. In addition to his biography written by Gertrude Robinson, you will have the opportunity to read an important article by Charles King about his influence on North Caucasian identity in this collection. You can search the items of the collection by searching the name "David Urquhart" within the tags of the collections.
